Living in Gratefulness

The 5th principle invites us to show Gratitude to every living thing, to live from that place of gratitude.

"Walk as if you were kissing the Earth with your Feet" - Thich Nhat Hanh

Living in Oregon, surrounded by fall beauty, it is easy to be grateful! I often invite my Reiki students to spend several minutes before bed, and again when they arise, 'counting blessings.' You may wish to do this in a journal, as writing empowers the words.

As we move toward Thanksgiving in the US, many people choose to think of things they are thankful for each day of the month - what a lovely practice!

Just for today, be kind to those around you, & show Gratitude!

  1. Oh my, that saying is wonderful! "Walk as if you were kissing the Earth with Your Feet" just makes me smile. :) We should always be grateful, daily. Even if you feel there's nothing else to be grateful for - be thankful you're still able to enjoy the things you can. You're still breathing, right? :)
