Reiki Intention Box

Image
There are may ways to 'send' Reiki over distance of space and time. For several years , one I've used is writing prayers,  charging the with Reiki (sometimes drawing the symbols), and placing them in my Reiki box. I also invite friends and clients to write the prayers themselves.  Reiki Box The box can be folded from a card (here, I've the box for a chocolate bar) , and decorated as you wish. For this one, I've used acrylics and mod podge on brown packing paper.  Box and collage papers To  activate sending Reiki,  use the techniques you've learned. 'Turn Reiki on, ' draw the symbols, then focus energy on the Reiki Box. If you haven't taken Second degree, simple hold you box, and use your intention to Empower the healing.  Follow your instinct for how long and often to 'send' Reiki.'  You could keep your Reiki Precept cards in this box as well.  Blue crystal heart I placed this blue crystal heart in my Reiki box, and will tuck the pray...

Reiki 2

When I took First Degree Reiki in 1989, I knew I wanted to continue with the trainings, and eventually, to open the Reiki door for others . The next step on the path to Mastery the Second level, or Okuden . A year later, I was able to take that step.  Some time ago, my  ᏦᏍᏓᏓᎸ (tso-s-da-da-lv /  Sister)  in Reiki, Sheila King , wrote: 'Going deeply into your heart           Going deeply into your healing                     Opening yourself to the light ... 'The Japanese word Okuden means 'the Deeper knowledge'. To take Second degree Reiki means to open to deeper levels of Reiki and to yourself. Reiki on all levels is like  light in our lives, shining in all the dark corners, bringing us into alignment with our Higher Selves.  'First degree is like a flashlight shining within us. As we complete the shifting this illumination brings, we are ready to welcome the brighter stronger...

Reiki and the Red Thread

Image
While studying to become an   Intentional Creativity teacher and coach   in 2015, one of our assignments was to offer  Red Thread Circles  and events. I included a simple circle as part of a 1st Degree Reiki class, and we created Reiki journals in 2nd Degree - the students loved them! My teacher Maestra Shiloh Sophia invited me to consider the connections between Reiki and the IC teachings,  "I know there are connections, explore what they are." A Chinese legend tells that we are connected before birth with those whom we're destined to meet by an invisible Red Thread. Through out our lives, the thread may twist, stretch and tangle, but will never   break. We each hold, and are responsible for a unique piece of this thread. Sharing Red Thread With Reiki, we often feel the resonance of connection when we meet other  Reiki practitioners, or first connect with our Master. The teachings and practices of  I ntentional Creativity® ...

Reiki Intention Boxes

Image
One of my artist friends, Karen Sue, paints each morning for 20 minutes on watercolor paper, and began making intention boxes! She's taking them to a Valentines Day event, and has a little poem about putting intentions in the box. I thought of our Reiki Boxes , what a great way to combine two intentional processes!!  My mom used to make pretty little boxes using old Christmas cards, as shown in this Karen Sue's intention boxes little tutorial !  Karen has made the  bottoms of her boxes deeper. This is an easy way to make a small box of your own, for Reiki prayers, gratuities, intentions. I'm eager to make some of my own!

Reiki Box

I've 'sent' Reiki to people & situations over the years, individually, in Reiki Circles, on prayer chains, etc. Last summer, I noticed a lovely blog post   on making a 'Reiki Box' for sending Reiki.  The author noted that he decorated a small box (his is 3" x 2.5" x 2.5") of natural materials, & puts slips of paper with requests for distant healing, his own blessings for past & future, & 'anything else that needs Reiki energy.' He charges the slips with Reiki (sometimes drawing the symbols) before placing them in the box. He decorated his with angels, butterflies & flowers, & writes to activate treatment,  'proceed with the Reiki techniques you have been trained to do. Turn Reiki on, draw the symbols, then focus energy on the Reiki Box. Follow your instinct for how long to 'send' Reiki.' I put this blue crystal heart on top of the requests in my Reiki box.  In December, I plan to do a Zen funeral...
