Reiki Renewal

 I recently joined a Reiki Community group on FB - this is a great resource for both those newly initiated and for long time practioners!

I found a few of the posts very poignant, with one member writing that she hasn't practiced for about 12 years, since losing a family member whom she treated regularly! 

She commented that she feels that she's lost her connection to Reiki, and wonders if she needs to be reinitiated?

I responsed, 'one of the best ways I know to reconnect, is to start with self Reiki - 20 minutes to an hour daily!'

Since she's taken both levels 1 and 2, she might include the M/E (Mental emotional) treatment some days, with one hand the forehead/ crown, and one on the back of the head, affirming 'I am ready to reconnect with Reiki!' (10-15 minutes). (This can also be done without the M/E symbol!) 

It might be very helpful to practice the heart activation, affirming love of the family member, and letting go of any grief at their passing. The M/E symbol could also be used spring the activation.  And for each of these practices - journal any observations. 

One way to reconnect with the original initiations is to pull out any materials from the Reiki classes!  This is a great time to refresh with the principles, perhaps choosing one to focus on each day.  It's also a good time to revisit each of the symbols - both the Yantra (drawing) and Mantra (words), and the uses of each.

If your master suggested processes for completion/ integration after your initiations, do any that resonate now. Did you start a a Reiki Journal? Pull it out - or begin one. Make cards for the Reiki precepts, and focus on one each day. (You can glue an envelope in your Journal, and tuck the cards in!)

The Reiki precepts begin kyo dake wa , just for today ... Beginnings

A couple of weeks after meeting our Reiki Master, another student & I arrived at her home for our First Degree Reiki class. One of Analyse's Mastery students joined us as well, to participate & observe. We alternated between teachings, sharing stories & experiences, initiations & learning to give (& receive) treatments. Analyse described the initiations as 'clearing the pipes' for the energy to flow through us, unimpeded. 'Think of the water pipes in two houses, a 'city house' & a summer home. If you turn on the faucet at home, the water runs clearly, while those in a place that's rarely used my sputter a bit, & run a bit cloudy. BOTH pipes have corrosion, but you don't observe that as much in the pipes that are used regularly.  'It's the same with people - some people naturally allow energy to flow, others don't; but both have 'blocks' that restrict the flow. Rei Ki - the word

Reiki is written in two Japanese kanji or characters,  Spiritual (&) Energy The word 'Reiki' is used in the West to denote a healing system. The founder of our Modern Reiki System, Mikao Usui didn't use this term, his teachings were more commonly called 'Usui Do' (the Way of Usui) and the healings 'Usui teate' or Usui's form of hands-on healing. Later, the word Reiki was added or substituted, to signify the system utilized spiritual energy. In Chinese, the same two kanji are used for 'Ling Chi'   "Ling Chi is the subtylest and most highly refined of all the energies in the human system and the product of the most advanced stage of a practice, whereby the ordinary energy of the body are transformed into pure spiritual vitality.
