Reiki Intention Boxes

One of my artist friends, Karen Sue, paints each morning for 20 minutes on watercolor paper, and began making intention boxes! She's taking them to a Valentines Day event, and has a little poem about putting intentions in the box. I thought of our Reiki Boxes, what a great way to combine two intentional processes!!

little tutorial!  Karen has made the bottoms of her boxes deeper. This is an easy way to make a small box of your own, for Reiki prayers, gratuities, intentions.

 I'm eager to make some of my own!

Everyday Reiki

The Reiki precepts begin kyo dake wa , just for today ... When we have Reiki, we can invite the energy to flow into our activities and interactions throughout the day.  While Takata awaited surgery in Dr Maeda's hospital in Tokyo, each of the meals prepared by the doctor's sister the dietician was blessed with Reiki : green tea, Rice, beans, steamed vegetables (especially carrots & beets), seaweed. As she learned Reiki herself, Mrs Takata blessed her own food and drink, and later recommended her students do the same. Teachers in many traditions suggest blessing what we ingest, it's something we do daily, and soon becomes second nature. Beginnings

A couple of weeks after meeting our Reiki Master, another student & I arrived at her home for our First Degree Reiki class. One of Analyse's Mastery students joined us as well, to participate & observe. We alternated between teachings, sharing stories & experiences, initiations & learning to give (& receive) treatments. Analyse described the initiations as 'clearing the pipes' for the energy to flow through us, unimpeded. 'Think of the water pipes in two houses, a 'city house' & a summer home. If you turn on the faucet at home, the water runs clearly, while those in a place that's rarely used my sputter a bit, & run a bit cloudy. BOTH pipes have corrosion, but you don't observe that as much in the pipes that are used regularly.  'It's the same with people - some people naturally allow energy to flow, others don't; but both have 'blocks' that restrict the flow.
