EFT Points

Image
As I've mentioned before ,  EFT Tapping compliments Reiki wonderfully. This morning I joined a practice session with gals in the UK and Mosambique, and tapped around frustration and self worth. One participate 'volunteered' issues she was struggling with, and tapped with the host. The rest had our mics on mute, and tapped along.  As is common when I join a group session, I felt connected and more relaxed afterwards.  And everyone benefits by tapping on our own version of the issue presented.  In a recent newsletter, my friend and local EFT Practitioner Karen Aquinas offered a teaching that  Nick Ortner of The Tapping Solution recently shared - information he compiled on the topic of the Tapping points, and why we use each one.   Cucuzzi gourd flower I thought you might also find these helpful. Karate Chop  (Small Intestine Meridian) * Releases feeling stuck and promotes ease in moving forward, letting go, healing from grief, and the ability to be...

Reiki at a Distance

Image
After nearly 40 years as a Massage Therapist, and 30 with Reiki, I am shifting my practice to include more virtual work, and fewer in person sessions. Reiki and other energetic offerings are often more powerful when offered remotely, which gives us the opportunity to work together wherever we are in the World! Time angel In a  constantly changing world, we are often asked to Pivot to adjust to new energies and opportunities. This last year has invited many of us to rethink how we connect, and what we offer.  When we combine Reiki with a dash of creativity ...  happens! Remote Reiki and Lightweaving sessions r educe stress, support relaxation, rejuvenation, and a return to wholeness. They heighten one's ability to connect with our inner light and with others in a deeper, more compassionate way.  I have been using Tuning Forks in my work for over a decade, and these translate especially well for distant sessions.  I use both the  Intention tuners ...

Reiki Anniversary

Image
This month marks my 30th anniversary as a Reiki Master -  When the student is ready ....  A friend calls it holes - when you know something's important, and you need to do it, but - why? I can trace my "introduction" to the healing modality I'd been seeking to a harp concert  (by a 2nd degree practitioner!) 9 months before, in a bookstore about an hour away. Who could resist Karen Brunner's title, "Out of the Silence, Into the Wind" ... And her tape, Where the Dragons Come to Drink - recorded the summer before during the Lion's Gate portal, 8-8-88. So I was drawn to that January concert!  ... After the amazing concert, I looked for the right book , picked up one on Chiron (Barbara Hand Clow's), the wounded healer ...  That fall, I saw an announcement for a talk on Chiron - at the same bookstore that hosted the concert! The catalogue was in the Mail, when I returned from offering a talk to on asteroids to a local Astrology group - how could I No...

Lightwork

Image
Living and working on Healing Arts at Breitenbush in the 90s, I was blessed to attend the Annual Reiki Gathering with Phyllis Lei Furomoto, and to study with healers and mentors from many traditions and backgrounds, including Wheels of Light author Rosalyn Bruyere, the Breema community, Egypt scholar Nicky Scully, Qigong teachers, ethetic healer Eric Vormanns, Lightwork teacher Amorah Quan Yin, and many others. I met Mt Shasta healer  Amorah  shortly after moving to Breitenbush thirty years ago, and enjoyed our chats and hearing about her Pleiadian Lightwork, and the book ( Pleiadian Workbook ) she was writing. So when she offered her month long intensive training several years later at Breitenbush, I signed up!  I had moved to the coast, but was asked to 'fill-in' in the Healing Arts, during the time the workshop was scheduled.  So I asked for and received received permission to schedule my sessions around our workshop time! As Amorah suggested, I purchased ...

Cutting Cords

Image
An inquiry arose in a online Reiki community recently on fielding communication from a former client, several years after their therapeutic relationship ended, which no longer felt beneficial or appropriate. Suggestions from the community included both setting / reinforcing boundaries, and perhaps a need for cutting cords.  Some of my teachers and fellow healers have offered techniques which can be used when it feels that cutting cords is in order. This practice includes teachings from several of them, and can be adapted as you feel the need. Middle Mea Meadow Pool - Breitenbush If you've taken Second Degree, you can include Mental-Emotional and distant Reiki.  Sit in a quiet, safe space, ground yourself, and see your aura bubble shining bright around you, bring your hands to Gassho (prayer position.) Invite your Reiki guides to support and guide you in this process. Ask that any clearing be for your and the other's highest good, and that it be a gracious, gentle process...

Equinox Blessings

Image
Embrace the power of the Equinox to fully embody Divine Timing and the power of the present moment!  So often we get caught up in "Should have, .... Could have, .... if only..."  And forget to enjoy the moment we are living!  In our Intentional art community, we often say, "there's no behind" ...  Perhaps you're on step 3, while others are on step 5 ...  What if we don't race to 'catch up,' but focus on the inquiries and lessons of step 3?  Someone is likely on step 1 or 2 ... which lay the foundation for the following steps.  When we rush to 'catch up,' often something important is overlooked - which may be perfect in its own way, and may be the reminder we need to stay present.h The Reiki precepts invite us to embody presence, and several begin, "just for today,'  This day, of equal day and night, may we find the balance of Divine Timing, and be present to the possibilities inherent in this moment!  JUST FOR TODAY, MAY WE BE P...
